BESTEWIND 50

Bestewind 50 Description
The Bestewind 50 is a real eye-catcher with robust, classical lines, straight bow, overhanging transom and pilothouse. A fast and serious sailing yacht, timeless and classical in appearance, at an attractive price. Designed by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects and based on the Bestevaer II, Gerard Dykstra’s own aluminium custom-built sailing yacht but constructed in fibreglass – a production version in GRP of the popular Bestevaers.
The transom has a fold-down bathing platform and a gate for ease of access to the cockpit. As all halyards are led aft from the mast, the deck remains uncluttered and neatly arranged and she is easily sailed by a couple.
The interior layout and finish reflect the eye for detail and commitment to quality that are the architect’s and the builders’ hallmarks. Below deck she is bright and roomy, with a combination of mahogany and off-white in an appealing traditional look. The pilothouse is a distinctive feature and contains the nav station and a seating arrangement with an uninterrupted view of the surroundings. This is ideal for watchkeeping on long passages, but also very pleasant when moored or at anchor.
