All uncertainty has an impact on markets and the market for yachts is no exception. Brexit, Ukraine, cost of living crisis and now Iran all contribute. For many Brexit has caused VAT problems with the loss of equivalency of VAT paid status with the EU. This has impacted on cross border purchases and sales and since the stock of UK VAT paid boats is not extensive, rarer specialist brands like Ovnis are often at a premium. It translates to ‘if you see something that suits, don’t hang around’. Some boats we’ve sold in the last year haven’t even made it to the website.

Ovni Evolution 52 – 2014
The largest Ovni in Alubat’s range, the Ovni Evolution is about the quality of life onboard, ease of access from the cockpit to the interior, coupled with excellent sailing performance. This is a four cabin version, 3 doubles and twin bunks, not to mention a sea berth in the main saloon. Two toilet compartments, a practical linear galley and navigation station complete the picture. Storage aboard is everywhere including the cockpit accessed lazarette locker which has been racked out for long term liveaboard storage. Ovni 445 – 2015

Ovni 395 – 2004
A beautifully maintained two cabin, two heads version of the popular Ovni 395 which can sleep 7. Built at the end of 2004, launched in Spring 2005 after being displayed at the London boatshow in January 2005. Well equipped for cruising with an extensive navigation kit, cruising chute, safety equipment, many features to make life aboard more comfortable including heating (for those heading to colder climes) and insulation. Ovni aficionados will spot that, like every Ovni, she was indeed built to her owner’s exacting requirements.
Ovni 395 – 2006
The Ovni 395 is Alubat’s most popular model – EVER. This one, like the other one we’re listing, is a two heads version but in the aft section has a single cabin/storage instead of a larger heads and storage. She’s also fully insulated and fitted with a long list of options and many recent updates. She’s available to purchase ex VAT for a qualified buyer.

Ovni 435 – 2002
Getting ready for new adventures
Although technically an older example of the popular Ovni 435 she is in excellent condition. Good paintwork, insulated, equipped for global sailing with new high spec sails, rigging, Hydrovane self steering, cruising chute, heating, retractable bowthruster and GN Espace cooker for the wannabee Masterchef ….. it’s a long list as always. A slightly different layout, the owner’s suite forward has a v-berth, ensuite heads and dressing/storage area that also offers a sea berth.
